What Information Do We Collect and How do We Collect It?
We may collect several types of information, including personal information, such as your name, email address, phone number, address, and payment information. We collect information in two ways: (1) directly from you when you provide it to us using the Site; and (2) automatically through use of technology as you navigate and use the Site.
Information You Provide Us
We may collect information directly from you when you provide it to us through a number of different vehicles. For example, you may provide us with information when you purchase a product, signup to receive Battenfeld Technologies’ eNewsletter, submit an inquiry via the Customer Service Center, respond to a customer survey, and submit a warranty claim.
You may also contact us via email at email@example.com for sales inquiries or firstname.lastname@example.org for job-related inquiries. We do not, however, control the information you provide to us via email. Please do not submit any personal information or other information that you deem to be confidential or sensitive because we will not necessarily maintain any information you provide as confidential.
Dealers and distributors interested in carrying our products may also provide information directly to us via the International Distributor, Canadian Dealer, International Dealer, and New Dealer Inquiries forms.
Information Collected Through Technology
We may automatically collect information from you using automatic data collection technologies such as cookies and web beacons. The information we collect in this manner may include IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, page views, referring URLs, destination URLs, and dates and times of Site visits, among other information. If you enable us to do so, we may also identify and collect your location based on your IP address. A cookie is a text file that websites send to a user’s computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify the device and browser or to store information or settings in a browser. A web beacon, also known as an Internet tag or pixel tag, links web pages to web servers and their cookies and may be used to transmit information collected through cookies back to a web server.
How Do We Use the Information We Collect?
We may use the information we collect for in several different ways, including to:
• Improve, personalize, and administer our Site;
• Provide information and materials that you have requested;
• Fulfill order requests; and
• For other business purposes.
To Whom Do We Share Information?
We may share information we collect with affiliates including Smith & Wesson Holding Corporation, and third party service providers who assist us in connection with operating our business and maintaining, operating and improving the Site, or in connection with any corporate transaction, including any merger, consolidation, restructuring, the sale of stock and/or assets, or other corporate change or financing transaction, whether during the course of any due diligence process or otherwise.
We may also disclose the information we collect if we reasonably believe we are required to do so by law, regulation or other government authority or to protect the rights and property of us or the public. We may cooperate with law enforcement and regulatory agencies in any official investigation and may disclose information to the relevant agency in doing so.
Google Analytics is among the third party vendors to whom we may disclose your information. Please see http://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/ for information about how Google may use your information and how you may be able to control the information sent to Google.
Third Party Websites
Our Site may link to third party Sites including without limitation the Sites of online dealers such as Amazon, Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shops, USA Midway, and Dick’s Sporting Goods, among others. Do Not Track
Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” setting. However, there is currently no industry standard regarding the meaning of “Do Not Track” and what, if anything, websites should do in response. As a result, we may not respond to “Do Not Track” signals.
No company, including Battenfeld Technologies, can fully eliminate security risks. Thus, we cannot guarantee the security of information transmitted to or from us, including via email, or the security of any links accessible from our Site. Any transmission of information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Site.
