Product Description

Frankford Arsenal’s® Platinum Series Case Trim & Prep Center accurately trims brass in seconds. An innovative Case Holder with Adjustable Collet and Bushing System indexes the case shoulder and can be set to precisely trim brass to the exact desired case length. Once the case holder is adjusted simply insert brass into the case holder as a collet aligns the case squarely with the hi-speed cutter. As the case mouth contacts the cutter it is trimmed until the case shoulder stops on an internal bushing. A series of three collets and five bushings (all included) accommodate any shouldered case from 17Rem-460Wby. In addition to the cutter, the station operates up to three additional tools at the same time. Inside and outside chamfer tools and primer pocket cleaners are included to fully prepare cases for loading. The heavy duty motor and drivetrain are optimized for durability and performance. Cutters and Chamfer tools are constructed of high quality hardened steel. A convenient built in storage box holds spare collets, bushings and tools. Patent Pending. Just bought one of these a couple months ago. After a little practice setting up the trimmer it works great & cuts my trimming time down by 90%. It will trim them as fast as you can feed the cases. A good investment for the avid reloader !

The very best 150 bucks I have spent in a long time. I have needed a trim and prep station for way to many years. But did not what to spent the 350 to 450 dollars on one. I saw this Frankford at 150 bucks. I started looking at reviews on Midway USA (a 101 of them). I always look at the lowest or bad reviews first. I have a 221 Fireball that the overall case is 1.40″. It is the parent case of 300 Blackout. Someone said that a Blackout was to short to work with this trimmer, had to use gloves to push it into the trimmer. I know someone did not have the unit adjust properly. If adjust properly very little pressure needs to be applied, and it dose not take any of grip to kept the case from turning. On an 221 Fireball .325″ is what is sticking out of the collet. If the collet is adjusted properly with just a little resistance the case does not turn and can be removed easily. It may some time before I know just how good this unit is but after trimming the fires 100 Fireball the trim unit is very accurate and consistent, and inside and outside work very well, and are 100 % improvement than my drill press. Midway sales them a good price but at high dollar shipping charge. Walmart has them at the same price with free store pickup, but paid state sales tax.

What a great time saver this is. I’ve only just started reloading a few years ago. Just wish I would’ve bought one of these earlier on like when I stared. The dreaded task of case prep is now an enjoyable part of reloading. Trim and debur plus clean the primer pocket on 4 pieces of brass per minute, not trying to set a speed record either. My first time set up took about 10-15 min after that all business trim length stayed true as long as you stay consistent with your pressure little to no pressure required for the debur. If you are going to make your own 300 blkout do a rough cut off first. Very nice addition to the bench easy too use saves time dose a great job.

This unit is the cats meow. I load for speed, lots of 223/556 brass and other calibers. It save so much time, because you only have to handle the brass once, other than sizing. I did order two extra cutters for back ups. They say the cutters are good for 10,000 rounds, and at the amount of brass I process I felt i needed the extra cutters. The cutters are cheap only $5.00. It would be nice if the company would produce a Carbide cutter in the future. Of course if they did expect to pay a higher price for the Carbide cutter. Yes a super great machine.

I’ve had the case prep station for about 6 months now. I’ve prepped 2000 308 win and about 1000 300WSM and it does a great job. Being that it uses the shoulder to set the trim length the case overall length can vary a few thousandths if case headspace isn’t consistent. I haven’t noticed a significant affect on consistency inside 500 yards. Fireformed brass yield excellent results. Well worth the money to cut case prep time to a fraction of using individual tools.

Overall I really like this machine. However, the cutting tools that are supplied are junk. Replace them with Lyman chamfering tools and it will be much smoother and a bit faster. I wish there was a carbide cutter upgrade for the case trimmer. The case trimmer is where all the value is with this machine. It makes trimming hundreds of 5.56 cases get done in a fraction of the time compared to other trimmers. One big negative is the brass shaving that get scattered everywhere. There are avingpeople out there 3D printing catch trays for the trimmer. Certainly the manufacturer can come up with some solution of their own. I improvise by putting the machine in a shallow tray. This is a goood machine but it can be improved upon. Better quality cutters and a means of catching shs.

I had a green one for several years and liked it. Gave it to my son and he bought me this Frankfort Arsenal trimmer/prep center. This is well worth the price as it not only is a prep center but takes care of trimming as well. Lovin it.

Incredible Product!!! This case trimmer has made my loading experience absolutely enjoyable again. I was recently given approximately 15,000 once shot .223 brass, in 3 home depot buckets, filled to the top. When I started to prep the casings by hand, I almost gave up at 500. I started doing some research and liked what I saw in the Frankford Arsenal case trimmer. Now that I have it, WOW!!! All I can say is, I’m addicted to reloading again. Thank you Arsenal, you folks are awesome!!!

THIS MACHINE WORKS GREAT !!!. THE MOTOR AND THE CUTTERS AND OTHER TOOLS THAT ARE ATTACHED TO THE MOTOR RUN A BIT SLOWER THAN I EXPECTED, HOWEVER IT GETS THE JOB DONE VERY WELL, — AND MUCH, MUCH FASTER THAN DOING THE TRIMMING, CHAMFERING, DE-BURRING, AND POCKET PRIMER CLEANING MANUALLY.
